"I found the book planning sessions with Sophie immensely helpful, insightful, inspiring and enjoyable"

Penelope Newton-Hurley

Getting your ideas out of your head and down on paper so they make sense to someone else is hard.

You've got so much to say, but every time you start to write it comes out wrong. How do you know what to write in each chapter? What should come first? What's the right way to group your ideas? What should you include and what should you leave out? Who are you actually writing to?

Book planning is essential if you want to make sure your book reflects your ideas in a way your reader can follow. It also gives you a logical and compelling book structure that will act as a blueprint for you to write your book. My Book Planning service is ideal for authors starting from scratch on all types of non-fiction, but is perfect for business books, history, memoirs, self-help and mind/body/spirit.

At every stage of the Book Planning process you'll benefit from my years of publishing experience, as well as my creative talent for structuring books. By the end of the process you'll have a clear idea of the market for your book, a full chapter outline and a sensible writing plan for getting the job done in the time you have available.

HOW IT WORKS

Book Planning starts with a 45-minute Zoom call to discuss your goals for your book, who your reader is and the type of book you want to write. I’ll then show you how to fully research your market, learning from the other books in your subject area and defining your USP. We’ll create a title, subtitle, blurb and introduction ideas, together with a detailed contents page that will act as a recipe to write your book. At the end of the process your Book Plan is yours to use however you like—either on your own or as the beginning of a coaching relationship with me.
